We are planning a trip to Queensland for the solar eclipse in November 2012. Very early stages and have a few ideas. Some of them might not be practicle or within our budget.

Some thoughts are drive the 3,000 Km and take 10 days to get there. Or we could fly to Cairns and book a livaboard dive boat. I will ask some friends if they would like to come and then decide what the options are.
Update: 15th April 2012 We are flying up there and will hire a car. Its too expensive on a livaboard during the eclips so we are diving after.
